Do i neeed to complete biometrics again?

Answered by attorney Alan Lee
Immigration lawyer at Alan Lee Arthur Lee, Attorneys at Law
Whether you will have to complete biometrics again depends upon how long the I-485 application takes to process. Fingerprints are good for 15 months. If over that date, U.S.C.I.S. may or may not ask you to take biometrics again depending upon whether it is willing to rerun the old prints.Due to the limitations of the Lawyers.com Forums, Alan Lee, Esq.'s (the "Firm") participation in responding to questions posted herein does not constitute legal advice, nor legal representation of the person or entity posting a question. I am a US citizen and my parents are in Nicaragua; can I go to the US Embassy in Nicaragua to get them visas?

Answered by attorney Emmanuel Osagie Eke
Immigration lawyer at Emmanuel Osagie Eke Associates
If you have immigrant visas (that is, Green Cards) in mind, then you will have to file immediate family petitions on behalf of your parents. Then go through Consular process with the National Visa Center before they will be invited to the US Embassy in Nicaragua for visas.

Can my brother apply for a visa at the same time?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney Phong Thanh Tran (Unclaimed Profile)
Immigration lawyer at Law Office of Pho Ethan Tran, PLLC
Unfortunately, your brother cannot join or immigrate at the same time as your parents. You will need to submit a separate I-130 petition on your brother's behalf.
