Will marrying an illegal Guadimallan help him become legal if he has felonies?

Answered by attorney Francis John Cowhig (Unclaimed Profile)
Immigration lawyer at Francis John Cowhig
Your question requires an attorney consultation. It is not a simple question that can be answered on this type of forum. There are many factors that would need to be considered and evaluated. His drug convictions may make him inadmissible and removable. I strongly suggest that you contact an experienced immigration attorney for a face-to-face consultation and give him/her all of the facts surrounding your boyfriend's situation. He/she would then be in a better position to analyze his case and advise you of his options.

Will my boyfriend go to jail for driving without a license?

Answered by attorney Michael Alexander Yurasov-Lichtenberg (Unclaimed Profile)
Immigration lawyer at Havens Lichtenberg PLLC
Chances are that, with or without a criminal defense attorney, your boyfriend will not go to jail for driving without a license. The problem is that he should expect to be arrested by Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) and put in immigration jail for deportation. You might want to find an immigration attorney before it happens, to reduce the time your boyfriend will spend in immigration detention and, if possible, take steps to make his deportation less likely. You might also want to start putting together about $5000 for immigration bail.

Does he have a chance to come back since he was married here in 1997?

Pablo Husayn Nossa
Answered by attorney Pablo Husayn Nossa (Unclaimed Profile)
Immigration lawyer at Nossa Law Office, P.C.
Is he still married? If so, is his wife a Citizen of the US? When was he removed? Why was he removed? Was he previously deported before the most recent removal? How long had he been in the US?
