Do I need to contact the immigrations about the divorce, since my permanent resident card is based on the marriage?

Answered by attorney Phong Thanh Tran (Unclaimed Profile)
Immigration lawyer at Law Office of Pho Ethan Tran, PLLC
If you already have your 10 year permanent resident card, you do not need to inform immigration of your divorce unless the information is specifically requested. You can also travel abroad with your resident card and passport for up to 6 months a year without any problems.

What are the financial requirements on the sponsor for a b2 visa to get a person to the united states from china

Answered by attorney Stephen Arnold Black
Immigration lawyer at The Law Office of Stephen A. Black
The burden of proof to get a B visa is not on the host but on the person applying for a visitor visa. Consular officers need to see documents like the visitor's tax returns, letter of current employment, pay stubs, W2 forms etc and also property ownership that can be proven by deeds of trust and appraisal estimates for that property. This evidence establishes that the immigrant will return to her home country upon completion.

If I am a resident of the US, can I still apply for a fiance visa for my boyfriend?

Only U.S. Citizens can apply for K-1 fiance visas. If you are a permanent resident, you can only file a petition for him if he is your spouse.
