I am marrying my boyfriend soon and need to get him in the USA, what can I do?

Answered by attorney William D. Fong (Unclaimed Profile)
Immigration lawyer at Fong Ilagan
The spouse of a permanent resident is a FB-2A preference, with a priority date backlog of about 4 years. When you are naturalized, the case can be upgraded and he can apply for either the K-3 or the immigrant visa at his home consulate.

Would immigration deny my husband if he has never filled out a tax return?

Failure to pay taxes may be an issue, but that is generally not an immigration problem. Has he been working unlawfully and how did he enter the US? Those are typically more relevant issues.

Do i have a good chance of getting my boyfriend out of Krome detention in Miami?

Answered by attorney David Troy Cox
Immigration lawyer at CoxEsq, PC
He would have been given some paperwork by ICE when they detained him.  I would need to see that paperwork to answer your question.
