Is it possible for me and boyfriend to get married if he is facing possible deportation from a divorce?

Your question requires an attorney consultation. It is not a simple question that can be answered on this type of forum. There are many factors that would need to be considered and evaluated. I do not understand how he can be deported based on his divorce, unless he entered into a fraudulent marriage or was not married for the requisite time to have the condition removed from his green card. I strongly suggest that you contact an experienced immigration attorney for a face-to-face consultation and give him/her all of the facts surrounding your boyfriend's situation. (S)he would then be in a better position to analyze his case and advise you of your options.

How do I obtain a green card?

Justin Wang
Answered by attorney Justin Wang (Unclaimed Profile)

I assume your wife is a US citizen. If so your case is simply: just file I-130 and I-485, wait for several months and you will be interviewed. If you pass, you get your green card. No penalty as you entered the country legally and your wife is a US citizen.

Can US citizen parents, sponsor a child and their family who has an overstayed visa for more than 10 years?

If the undocumented child came to the US without inspection(entered the US illegally), they will need to receive a waiver and apply for immigrant visa in their home country. I assume the child is an adult(over 21), the waiting time will be very long(maybe 8 years).
