I am a US citizen and my parents are in Nicaragua; can I go to the US Embassy in Nicaragua to get them visas?

Answered by attorney Eric Arden Fisher (Unclaimed Profile)

If you are over 21 years of age, you should file an I-130 visa petition with USCIS. If and when approved, the file will be transferred to the National Visa Center, which will further instruct you what is needed for your parents to get immigrant visas. If you only want them to visit you and not immigrate to the US, they can apply for a visitor visa at the US Embassy after completing the online application.

Am I eligible to get married to the new woman in the US without seeking a divorce from my current wife in my home country?

Answered by attorney Bruce A. Coane (Unclaimed Profile)
Immigration lawyer at Coane & Associates, PLLC
Generally, a person in the USA can have only one wife. If they have more than one wife, no matter where the wives live, this could be considered bigamy, a crime. In America, a person should get divorced before they marry another wife.

If my husbad sings voluntary deportation, does he have a better chance of coming back?

Answered by attorney William D. Fong (Unclaimed Profile)
Immigration lawyer at Fong Ilagan
Voluntary departure is certainly better than having an executed order of deportation. You should get all the arrest, charging and disposition documents for the criminal case and consult with an immigration attorney to see if he can re-apply for the green card.
