Can I still apply for my citizenship or are there any chances that I can be deported after a battery charge?

Answered by attorney Lynne Rogers Feldman
Immigration lawyer at Feldman Feldman Associates, PC
An attorney would need to review certified court records related to the conviction and proof you complied with all terms of the Judgment but probably you will be ok since it is outside the five year statutory period. It is also advisable to include evidence of your rehabilitation and good moral character - job letter, community service, etc.

Can a 17 and 3 month year old lady, legally married and a permanent resident with green card, having a 2 month old citizen child sponsor her spouse?

Answered by attorney Alena Shautsova
Immigration lawyer at Law Offices of Alena Shautsova
Yes, she can, she might need a joint sponsor. However, the wait time for the husband to legalize will be longer than if the lady was a citizen, and the husband might not be able to get a green card if he entered the country illegally, etc.
