Answered by attorney Harun Kazmi

Hi. If she has a US passport and US birth certificate showing she is the mother, then she should not have any problems. To confirm the requirements, she should check with the airlines.

A juvenile can affect you. However, unless you were convicted as an adult, a juvenile punishment is not a conviction.

What financial document(s) should we send to my mom for sponsoring her, while she is visiting us here? Thanks.

Answered by attorney David Troy Cox
Immigration lawyer at CoxEsq, PC
Visitors to the US do not require sponsors.  If you are helping your mother cover travel costs by providing her room and board during her stay, you could provide a letter to her stating that is the case and she can show that to the consular officer when she applies for the visa.
