Answered by attorney Alena Shautsova
Immigration lawyer at Law Offices of Alena Shautsova
He probably would want to apply for permanent resident status after I-130 is approved. If his application can succeed, depends on many factors. Consult with an attorney.

Answered by attorney Bruce A. Coane (Unclaimed Profile)
Immigration lawyer at Coane & Associates, PLLC
Generally, if caught and if you don't sign your rights away, they'd have to put you through removal proceedings in court, which, with a lawyer, can take years to resolve.

You really need to talk to an Immigration attorney. The visa will not be activated and likely will be canceled. It should not affect your future visa applications.
