About Mr. Thomas Barton Siniard

Bart Siniard solely represents injured people in north Alabama. He has assisted over 1,000 people in obtaining compensation in personal injury settlements and verdicts.

Bart received his undergraduate degree and juris doctorate from the University of Alabama. He has been recognized as a Super Lawyers’ “Rising Star,” a National Trial Lawyers “Top 40 Under 40” attorney for the state of Alabama, and a “Top 10 Nursing Home Attorney” for the state of Alabama.

In 2017, Bart obtained a unanimous decision from the Alabama Supreme Court in his client’s favor, making him one of the youngest Alabama attorneys to do so as the lead counsel. According to 256Today, Bart Siniard is one of the youngest attorneys in Alabama to obtain verdicts in both the state and federal court systems when serving as lead counsel. He has assisted in obtaining his clients over $20 million in compensation since he began his career in 2013.

Bart Siniard is active in the legal community. He has served as Treasurer of the Huntsville Bar Association and as a Board Member of the Huntsville Young Lawyers Association. He currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Alabama Association for Justice.

Bart believes in giving back to the community by serving in leadership positions in Huntsville organizations. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the North Alabama Boys & Girls Club, the Historic Huntsville Foundation, and the Huntsville First United Methodist Church’s early education ministry.

Bart handles all types of personal injury cases, but he has a special passion for the elderly who have suffered injuries or who have died due to nursing home abuse and neglect. In 2016, he received specialized training at the American Association for Justice’s Nursing Home Litigation College in Washington, D.C. in order to learn more about how to pursue injury and wrongful death claims against nursing homes.

A self-assessed history nerd, Bart enjoys his downtime researching and writing about Huntsville history. Bart also enjoys public speaking opportunities. He has been a guest lecturer about medical malpractice laws at UAH’s School of Nursing. Bart has also been a featured speaker at Greater Leadership Huntsville and the Alabama State Bar Young Lawyers’ Convention.

Hired Attorney

Mr. Siniard met with me and agreed to take my case for a fee. When we next met, he presented paperwork for me to sign. The fee in that paperwork was considerably more than what we had agreed to. Mr. Siniard did not bring that to my attention. When I asked him about it, he said he had spoke with a colleague who recommended that he charge more. Against my better judgment, I signed anyway. 30 days from the court date, he withdrew from my case without explanation. No other attorney would take the case because there was not enough time to prepare before the trial. The trial could not be delayed further because of the expiration of a statute of limitations. This was a clear-cut civil rights infringement with a significant financial component. My ability to move forward has now been lost forever as a result of this attorney's unprofessional conduct.
