Sara Deriu has been practicing law since 2007. She focuses her practice on litigation, and particularly insurance defense. Ms. Deriu started her legal career with defense counsel for a national insurer. She developed her trial skills there, and also presented oral arguments in the Court of Special Appeals and Court of Appeals. Ms. Deriu subsequently practiced for ten years at another defense firm in Baltimore as a litigation associate before joining The Law Offices of Frank F. Daily, P.A.
Ms. Deriu served on the Attorney Grievance Commission Peer Review Committee from 2016-present. She is also the Director of the Just Advice Legal Clinic at the University of Maryland School of Law.
Ms. Deriu graduated from Gettysburg College in 2002 and University of Maryland School of Law in 2007.
