About Mr. Steven Hudgins

Steven is a trial lawyer whose practice represents an even blend of personal injury, insurance and commercial disputes. He is board certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Personal Injury Law. Steven earned this recognition after successfully defending and prosecuting numerous personal injury lawsuits, involving commercial auto and premises liability claims.

Steven’s insurance law practice includes the representation of admitted and non-admitted carriers in first-party disputes that often arise following catastrophic weather events in the Gulf Coast region. Steven is head of the firm’s subrogation practice, successfully protecting the interests of the insurers and recovering millions in settlement on their behalf.

Steven also maintains an active commercial practice, counseling and representing a broad range of business clients, ranging from small family owned companies to companies listed in the Fortune® 500. Such services include the preparation and review of employment agreements, service contracts, dealership agreements, investigation of pre-suit claims and resolution of claims brought by and against former employees and/or directors. Steven recently tried and won a lawsuit where he represented an insurance agent being sued under a non-compete agreement, receiving a judgment awarding his client his attorneys’ fees.

Steven is a second-generation Houstonian and second-generation graduate of South Texas College of Law. During law school, Steven interned on the Texas Supreme Court for the Honorable Bob Gammage.
