She was first licensed in Texas in 1983. The First Court of Appeals selected her as a briefing attorney for that Court upon completion of law school.
Ms. Michaels began her own firm in 1984, having now been in private practice for a period of thirty-five years. Her areas of emphasis have been probate, estate planning and trusts, business transactions and other civil litigation.
