Mr. Yates did an outstanding job and produced excellent results for me in a very contentious divorce. I highly recommend him!
What triggered me to choose Mr. Yates? (1)Agile talent, fresh intelligence, and (2) “And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom” – Anais Nin. You will know what triggers inside of you to choose Mr. Yates and his team. DKB
Mr. Yates was not only my attorney, he was my friend and therapist. He is kind, helpful, smart and tough. He gave me the support, knowledge and strength I needed during my divorce. I highly recommend him as an attorney and a friend.
Mr. Yates is extremely knowledgeable, has an excellent grasp of the legal system, pays attention to details, acts quickly, is always thoroughly prepared. Once a strategy is decided upon, no stone is left unturned.
Mr. Yates works with his clients, listens carefully, guides with a quick mind, a lot of common sense and convincing arguments based on the reality of the law and experience. He is always available.
He has surrounded himself with an excellent and professional support team.
The attorney I had on my divorce did a poor job so for enforcement I hired Mr Yates. He never over charged me. He never made promises that could not be kept. The case was challenging with issues all the way to Appellate Court. His work was excellent.
The law firm was wonderful and handled my unique case in a very
professional manner. I knew little to nothing about the law and they
were prompt and elaborate when I had questions or concerns about the
case. I would definitely recommend Trey Yates for anyone in a family
litigation as well as same sex families as in my case. Hiring the firm
was the best decision I could have made. They are professional, prompt
and true experts in their field.
The Law Office of Sam M (Trey) Yates has been the best decision I made throughout my divorce. They made the entire process so easy for me and my son. They made sure every decision made was in the best interest for my family. Estelee Garrison (Trey’s Associate Attorney) accompanied me to every mediation and court date. I was never left unattended, and being a young woman going through a divorce it was nice to have someone there to answer all of my questions and concerns.
It's pretty straight forward. Worked out great.
** Stay Away ** Sam Trey Yates III has been sued for extortion and fraud: Civil Case #191200025527, April 2019 Grievance with The State Bar of Texas against Sam Trey Yates III: Case # H0081133472 , filed early 2011 Unethical. Untrustworthy. Greedy. Targets women/minority women. Took advantage of my situation, and my excellent credit. Put me/my 2yr old child's well-being in obvious/direct jeopardy. He bankrupt my CC accounts. Sam Trey Yates III told me I had to pay $35K one day during a meeting with him, 5 months in, or he wouldn't work on my case any further. This after already being paid $25K. Then he told me that if the size of my breasts did it for him, that would be one thing. #MeToo. Sam Trey Yates III coerced me to sign a decree in mediation that we had never discussed. This after being told for almost a year that he was prepared and ready to go to court. Sam Trey Yates III wouldn't respond to a lawyer who had to correct all the errors in the decree/his “work." A Coward.
Makes claims he can't or won't fulfill (specifically, that he performs mediation type divorce); inattentive to the actions of his staff; inattentive to the desires of his client; lectures but does not listen; work was not timely performed; does not adequately account for his time; used the excuse that his accounting software "didn't work" to bilk me out of a remaining balance on my retainer (and the bar association allowed it).
