His training and experience included the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act and its extensions; the Black Lung Benefits Act; whistleblower complaints involving corporate fraud and violations of transportation, environmental, and food safety statutes; alien labor certification; wage disputes; OSHA formal rulemaking proceedings; and civil fraud in federal programs.

Roy earned his Juris Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans, graduating magna cum laude . While in law school, he served as Chief of Staff of the Moot Court Executive Board and a Loyola Maritime Law Journal member. He earned his undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice from Loyola University New Orleans, receiving the Outstanding Criminal Justice Undergraduate Award and graduating first in his class.

In addition to his legal prowess and experience, Roy enjoys a background in law enforcement, which spanned 15 years. His tenure included serving as a deputy sheriff, detective, and sergeant. These positions helped refine his leadership and negotiation skills, developing his communication and strategic decision-making proficiency. This unique blend of experience has enriched his legal practice and provided him a distinctive perspective and approach to helping firm clients.
