An absolutely horrendous lawyer. He screwed up two cases so bad that it looked as though he did it on purpose. The first, after giving the opposing side permission to file an obscenely large motion for summary judgment, he forgot to file a response. Just totally forgot, like he forgot he was a lawyer, like you should forget his phone number. He Didn't even start on a response, didn't petition the court after forgetting. Nothing. Second case, he agreed to take a judgement against himself because "he could easily recover" from my original title company. Instead he forgot he was a lawyer again and earned me a lien. I then had to chase him down to collect the money he agreed to pay. He did finally pay up, but collecting the $2000 was bittersweet knowing that he previously lost at least $100,000 because he didn't look at his calendar. Do you self a favor and practice with Melamed's phone number the way he practices law--Just forget it!
