Mark T. Murray joined John Stevenson’s firm in 2005, bringing an impressive track record in complex personal injury litigation and plaintiffs’ rights. Raised in North Houston, Mark attended Baylor University, where he excelled in national debate competitions and led his fraternity as president. He further refined his advocacy skills at South Texas College of Law Houston, where he earned a spot in the prestigious Order of the Barristers. Beginning his career at Turner, Hendryx and Gasgoyne, he litigated wrongful death and product liability cases for defendants before moving to Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Sorrels, Matthews & Friend to advocate for injured victims.
Mark’s commitment to plaintiffs’ rights has earned him recognition, including the Texas Super Lawyer title every year since 2003, and placement in the Texas Verdicts Hall of Fame after achieving a landmark jury verdict in 2011. He is a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, placing him among the top 1% of U.S. trial attorneys. A respected educator, Mark has taught at South Texas College of Law Houston for over 25 years, is a past president of the Houston Trial Lawyers Association, and was recently honored with a scholarship in his name.
