Absolutely HORRIBLE – Greedy, Rude, Non-Responsive & Disorganized with Egregious Fees Judith Brokaw billed me $5,000 for what should have cost $250 to $400. When I challenged her fees, she was slow to respond, defensive, rude, and aggressive instead of professional. Even when she did respond, she failed to provide a proper itemized breakdown of her charges. She sent a Notice of Default (NOD)—a simple legal notice—and charged $5,000. The standard cost for this service is around $250-$400. A full-blown foreclosure (including posting to the county site and attending a foreclosure auction) typically costs around $2,000—yet she charged more for sending one letter than most attorneys charge for handling an entire foreclosure! I know these prices well because I have been selling houses on owner finance in Houston, Humble, Beaumont, Orange, Silsbee, Lumberton, Galveston, Livingston, and surrounding areas for over 13 years. I have worked with multiple attorneys over the years and ha
She turned our adoption journey into a nightmare. She presents herself as dedicated and professional in the initial meeting, but she is extremely disorganized and never returns calls. She gets very annoyed when you finally reach her for a status update. She threatens to drop your case if you express concern about it. She had misplaced important documents several times, even to the point where she made a mad dash 30 minutes before our hearing to get them filed. During the hearing, the judge reprimanded her because there were still missing documents. She runs through assistants like crazy because she grinds them into the ground and leaves them to clean up her messes. Keep in mind, I had a clean relative adoption. Because the child was in a different state, we had to get an attorney from that state before getting one in Texas. All she had to do was file that paperwork along with the ones required for Texas. IIf you hire her after this, you'll get all the bad service you deserve.
