Jonathan Slotter has been practicing law for eight years, focusing on complex litigation and transactional matters. Prior to founding Slotter Law, PLLC, Jonathan was an associate attorney at the Cochell Law Firm, where he represented businesses in diverse legal disputes, including contract disputes, business torts, deceptive trade practices claims, fraud, intellectual property, and labor and employment cases. His litigation background includes defending businesses and prosecuting claims involving breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, and trade secrets, often in high-stakes cases with millions in potential damages. Jonathan has also handled mergers, acquisitions, asset sales, and corporate structuring for companies of all sizes.
Jonathan earned his J.D. from SMU Dedman School of Law in 2015, where he served as Notes Editor for the SMU Science and Technology Law Review. He gained early legal experience clerking for the Honorable Kristin Wade in the Dallas Criminal Court of Appeals and interning with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office. A Texas native from Crosby, he was an award-winning debater and earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland, College Park. Jonathan’s approach emphasizes pragmatic solutions, tailored legal strategies, and close client collaboration to ensure that their business interests are effectively protected.
