Mr. Dagley has practiced law since 1990. After beginning his practice with Porter Hedges L.L.P., formerly Porter & Clements, L.L.P., Mr. Dagley practiced at Campbell Harrison & Dagley LLP for 21 years. He joined Buck Keenan LLP in January 2016. He earned his undergraduate degree in business administration from Baylor University in 1988 and his law degree from Baylor University in 1990.Since being licensed by the State Bar of Texas in 1990, Mr. Dagley has tried cases for plaintiffs and defendants and represented parties on appeal in state and federal courts and arbitrations throughout Texas. His clients have included individuals, small and mid-size businesses, Fortune 500 companies, and governmental entities. Mr. Dagley's practice areas include complex business disputes, fiduciary litigation, probate, trust and estate litigation, securities fraud, oil and gas litigation, insurance coverage and bad faith, trademark litigation, trade secrets and non-compete agreements, professional malpractice, employment, consumer fraud, personal injury/wrongful death, and trial and appellate procedural issues. In addition to numerous jury and bench trials and arbitrations since 1990, Mr. Dagley's 2015 cases included the jury trial of a Texas Securities Act dispute involving fuel oil contracts in Kurdistan and the arbitration of a contract dispute involving a profits interest in an oil and gas concession in Kurdistan. Mr. Dagley also regularly counsels clients about disputes or potential disputes outside the litigation context.Mr. Dagley has regularly presented individually and as a panel member at continuing legal education events, most recently at the State Bar of Texas 10th Annual Fiduciary Litigation Course in December 2015 on the topic of “Finding Fiduciaries in the Weeds,” regarding informal fiduciary relationships in Texas, and the Houston Bar Association Probate, Trusts and Estates Section November 2015 meeting and Innovations: Breaking Boundaries in Custody Litigation on the topic of “Caught in the Middle: Family Court, Probate Court and the Adult Disabled Child, the State Bar of Texas 9th Annual Fiduciary Litigation Course on the topic of “Standing at the Crossroads: The Intersection of the Family, Trust, Estates, and Business Organizations Codes,” and The StoneTurn Group Intellectual Property Roundtable on the topic of “Trade Dress Liability and Damages Issues.”
