A Texas Tech and South Texas College of Law Graduate.

John received his bachelor’s degree in History from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. At Texas Tech, John was actively engaged in the legal community. In 2006, he was elected president of the Texas Tech chapter of the international law fraternity, Phi Alpha Delta. Shortly after graduating from college, he worked in finance in New York City. During his time working for a mid-town Manhattan hedge fund, John weathered one of the worst economic recessions in American history and saw firsthand what happens when those who should be held responsible are left unchecked.

Upon returning to Texas in 2010, John began law school at South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas. At South Texas, John worked on a wide variety of cases. He had the honor of being a member of the international business law journal and in the summer of 2012 temporarily returned to New York to work for the Brooklyn District Attorney. At the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office, John was responsible for upholding the law and bringing the guilty to justice.
