(condensed for space limits) Potential plagiarism case: I did as instructed to no response, not even a "this won't hold up in court". I called both offices and e-mailed more than once to no response. I contacted months later to discover the following: "It’s so happens that I currently represent XXX ... Below is our email communication where he waives any conflict of interest and he says he’d be happy to help with any suit." He then goes on to say: "you should pay me to respond to XXXX, bc if you don’t...". I responded with a couple of questions and asking about his services he suggested I hire him for. His response was, "I’m not interested in bringing a suit ... I’m sorry, I can’t help you with this case. And I really don’t have the time or inclination to do the letter at my hourly rate of $450." I don't have a problem he doesn't want to do the case. I'm not happy with his tone, but I'll survive. The clincher was that he doesn't want to do what he offered to do.
