Mr. Rye was hired to work a plea deal for my case and could never manage to actually talk to the prosecuting attorneys about a deal. We went to trial and Mr. Rye never brought out key points that would have helped. Once I lost the trial and was sentenced Mr. Rye failed to file motions with the Kentucky Appeals Court and my case was dismissed, without my knowledge. Mr. Rye never once communicated any problems with the appeal or the prosecution. He is a poor lawyer and hung me out to dry.
David Rye was worse then my public defender Eric Bearden. He talked a big game about getting me off on the phone. After he took my money he avoided me for months. After many months I fired him, and he agreed to give me a refund via text. 2 months later and I'm still waiting for that refund. I guess you get what you pay for!
