I was happy with Mr. Luiz's legal services. He settled both my case. He was knowledgeable and professional. His staff was very helpful.

Shawn took my case when no other attorney would. Mine was not an easy case: it did require an attorney who is capable and motivated. I hoped Shawn met these criteria. It soon became apparent, though, that Shawn fell far short. My complicated case required the filing of a First Amended Complaint. I tried in vain to motivate Shawn to meet this deadline whist Shawn stalled and made excuses. In exasperation, I literally wrote the First Amended Complaint myself, which I was finally able to file in time. Yet Shawn charged me for doing my own work. I could see where this was headed. I subsequently challenged Shawn to accept a contingency fee, as I was no longer comfortable paying by the hour. He agreed. But once I filed the First Amended Complaint, Shawn reneged. I realized that this attorney-client relationship wasn’t long for this world. I was forced to become my own attorney after Shawn withdrew from my case. Ironically, I managed to do better without Shawn. NOT recommended.
