This attorney was very down to earth. His fee was reasonable. I admired his candor. Bradley Coates gave me no non-sense advice as well as real life scenario to allow me to decide what option to exercise.
My divorce case was simple. Mr. Coates was experienced but as he's done thousands of divorce cases his delivery is too wordy and fast - sometimes difficult to fully understand but we felt we often were rushed to understand due to his time constraints. He was nice but we did feel it was impersonal and this step for us was so important.

Mr. John W. Schmidtke, Jr. and Mr. Paul Soensken of Coates and Frey have both benefited financially from my divorce. They both took advantage of a twenty one year marriage with considerable assets with two dozen trips to court and legal fees to blow your mind. There were two sets of motions to compel, two sets of interrogatory questions, deposition, exhibits and more exhibits, emails, letters, meetings, phone calls, forced therapy and chaos and smoke screens to avoid the financial facts while one party was put at a disadvantage while the other fled the country. These two attorneys showed no consideration or compassion for the additional pain they caused the entire family with their billing techniques. Resolution was never the goal. They took advantage and took peace, time, energy, and resources that are forever lost. They used the legal system as a weapon during the lowest point in my life with no regard to the additional pain they caused. I absolutely do not recommend either one of these attorneys.
