Acquisition of real property and water rights from the Geneva Steel bankruptcy estate in connection with the construction of a $500 million power generation facility by a local public utility. Acquisition of a low-level radiation waste disposal company for a private equity group for in excess of $435 million, and the subsequent refinancing of the facility for in excess of $630 million. Sale of embedded technology company (holding the patents to laptop touch pads) to ALPS Electronics, a Japanese conglomerate. World-wide drug development, manufacturing and distribution agreement between Abbott Laboratories and our client. Numerous asset and entity acquisitions in Latin America for a U.S.-based broadband telecommunications company. The acquisitions included the purchase of internet service providers, cable television operations, fiber optic rings and wireless telecommunications rights in nine countries. Sale of wireless telecommunications rights to Sprint for $200 million. Long-term world-wide requirements manufacturing agreement between Colgate Palmolive and Huish Detergents. Numerous private placements of securities for a U.S.-based broadband telecommunications company with operations in Latin America (totaling over $200 million). $170 million vendor financing package with Alcatel, S.A., for the build out of a telecommunications system in nine Latin American countries. Public offering for NPS Pharmaceuticals, Inc. ($193 million, including exercised over allotment).
