After graduating from Jesuit High School, he ventured to Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, where he met his wife of over 20 years. In 2008, Kevin earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, serving as a member of the Executive Board and Technical Editor of the Transportation Law Journal. Over 12 years, he gained national recognition as a leading cargo claim litigator, handling numerous Carmack Amendment cases. In 2020, Kevin took a hiatus from law to establish a silvo-pastured pig ranch, but his passion for advocacy brought him back to the courtroom.
In 2022, Kevin joined Cornerstone Law Group as a criminal defense attorney, rediscovering his commitment to helping individuals navigate the justice system. By January 2024, he founded Prodigal Law, focusing on criminal defense with a client-centered approach. Kevin lives on a 75-acre pig ranch in western Washington County with his wife and four children, balancing courtroom advocacy with teaching and ranch life.
