While he now represents people injured by accident, misconduct and malpractice, Drake Hood has thirty years of experience representing hospital systems, physicians, attorneys, and major corporations in complex wrongful death and serious injury litigation. Throughout his career, Drake tried numerous cases to verdict for the defense, achieving successful outcomes in multi-million dollar disputes. Today, he leverages his courtroom experience on behalf of individuals and families harmed by medical malpractice, birth trauma, and significant injury, channeling his advocacy skills to support those facing life-altering challenges. Drake’s outstanding reputation has earned him honors including the “AV-Preeminent” rating by Martindale-Hubble. He has contributed leadership to the Oregon Chief Justice’s Civil Law Advisory Committee, the Oregon State Bar’s Council on Court Procedures, and as President of the Oregon Association of Defense Counsel. Drake serves as a Judge Pro Tempore on the Washington County Circuit Court. A veteran of the US Army and former US Senate intern, he is active in several professional organizations, including the American Association for Justice, American Board of Trial Advocates, and Oregon Trial Lawyers Association.
