I met Allen while I and my family was taking a Never/Evers Ski Class from the Park City Mountain Ski School. We had no idea he was more than a Ski instructor until lunch and he took off his helmet, googles, and coat and we realized he wasn't a 20 year old some od that just taught skiing. I am the CEO of a fortune 100 company and as I was explaining some issues we were dealing with it was very apparent he understood what I was talking about. Then I asked what he did besides teaching newbies, and he told me his education, background, and current position. I was blown away. When I got back to the office and talked to the general council we decided to extend several projects to his firm. They did an excellent job, just as he had done when teaching I and my family how to Ski on our first day on the slopes.

Very bright, intuitive, knew our customs, respectful. His Peer Review in no way reflects his ability. I would rate him AV. Simply put, he solved our problem with an international dispute concerning a contract worth millions. He was on point in every aspect. While he did not side for us totally, I respected his logic and ability to explain it in a manner that was understood by all.

This was a pro bono case but Mr. Thomason treated as if it wasn't. He was attentive, lively, meet every deadline, logic was spot on, and he solved the problem fairly for both sides, always showing respect.

I was part of a team involving a US Company and a China Company. Mr. Thomason was brought in to arbitrate the differences in a multi million dollar corporation. He was personable, understood the different countries ways, held his group appropriately, and was understood by all. He even took all on the negotiating team skiing at Park City Mountain Resort where he teaches part-time as a certified instructor. He built strong bonds between the different members during the trip. A group of us from the Harvard MBA program had gone to the Park City Mountain Resort for a weekend of skiing and Allen Thomason was assigned as our instructor. We got talking about some school stuff and Allen made some suggestions business law issues. We blew them off since we weren't sure he knew what he was talking about. Late in the day we learned he held a MBA, a JD, and was a CPA, with over 30 years of experience. We realized his comments where based on real work versus academic.

Excellent in his communication abilities. He listened and we felt heard. When he spook it was with understanding of the situation. Although he didn't decide in our favor, we respected his decision because we thought it was well thought out, he knew and identified the issues, and was clear in the written ruling. He also had a great demeanor and was easy to work with.

We did a throw background check of Mr. Thomason before we retained him and found he has an excellent reputation and strong skills in dealing with people under pressure. He met every dead line, often early, argued the case concisely and clearly, and can up to speed on the case extremely quickly. He got the results we needed and was well respected by both sides of the issue. We will defiantly use him again.
