Attorney Thomas W. Lynch brings extensive experience in financial, tax, and real estate matters. After earning his degree from DePaul University in 1977 and passing the Illinois Certified Public Accountant examination, he worked in public accounting before joining the Internal Revenue Service in 1979. As an Internal Revenue Agent, he audited tax filings and later served in the Special Enforcement Division, investigating complex tax cases and assisting in federal prosecutions.
While working at the IRS, he attended John Marshall Law School in the evenings, graduating in 1986 and passing the Illinois Bar Examination the same year. He then joined the Illinois Attorney General’s Office, where he worked from 1987 to 1992 in the Civil Tax and Revenue Division, handling state tax matters.
Since founding his law firm in 1992, he has focused on bankruptcy, federal and state tax issues, real estate, and business law. His background in tax enforcement and financial law allows him to provide strategic legal guidance to individuals and businesses facing financial challenges.
