We initially hired Laura Stubberud to draft our estate documents about 3 years ago. LIttle did we know at that time how invaluable she would become to our lives. Unfortunately about a year or so ago, we lost an elderly relative in Arizona who we only recently discovered had become a victim of financial exploitation. The matter had become so complicated with competing trusts, assets spread between two states, and acrimony among heirs that Laura sought out and connected us with an out of state legal team who successfully navigated a tricky settlement avoiding the extra expenses and time of litigation. Laura has since begun work on some probate matters that fell outside the trust and has helped us feel at ease with such a complicated process. I have reached out numerous times to Ryan Cuen in the past 8 months to enquire how the legal proceedings are going. Ryan has answered 1 questions for me, how he is payed. Ryan Cuen not only lacks experience and understanding of estate law but also, his only objective is to collect as much money as fast as possible, without doing anything at all. He will first tell you he can do everything you need done and will make sure your needs are met. Then, he will ask you to pay all his fees upfront because he had bad experiences in the past with clients who had used him and didn’t pay. After you pay, you will NOT hear from him again. If you dare reach out to him, he will be busy with other “very important things” and when he finally responds, his response to everything you ask will be “no, not possible” or “I don’t know, I've never dealt with anything like that”. Finally, he will send you templated, very poor quality documents with only "custom" thing being your name - you can get these 10x cheaper and much better quality on LegalZoom.com. And forget about any refunds. He will go above and beyond to keep whatever you paid him. That he knows how to do!
