Lorraine Paceleo has been practicing law in New York since 1999, after graduating from St. John’s University School of Law. Lorraine is also a Certified Public Accountant and concentrates her practice in estate administration, fiduciary accountings, tax preparation for estate and trust fiduciaries, and estate planning. Lorraine has over 18 years of experience in the areas of Trust and Estates, advising executors and beneficiaries of their liabilities, rights and responsibilities. Lorraine was previously associated with a NYC law firm that concentrated on Trust and Estate litigation, and has been practicing on the East End of Long Island since she moved in 2014. Lorraine is a member of the Suffolk County Bar Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and both a member and Financial Officer of the Trusts and Estates Law Section of the New York State Bar Association, where she has been serving as the Treasury support since 2010. Lorraine has also served as a Court Evaluator, Article 81 Guardian, and Guardian ad-litem, representing the interests of minor children and incapacitated adults in various Supreme and Surrogate’s Court proceedings. From 2005-2011, Lorraine lectured for the National Business Institute on various subjects including Solving Probate Issues and Challenges, Estate Administration Procedures, Trust Administration, Preventing and Litigating Fiduciary Liability, and Asset Protection in Estate Planning. Lorraine co-authored an article published by the NYSBA, Trusts and Estate’s Section Newsletter, Spring 2014, and the Senior Lawyer, Fall 2015, entitled: Estate Planning and Tax Tips for Non-Traditional Families. Lorraine is originally from Freeport, lived in Flushing for approximately 15 years and now lives in Flanders, where she is Vice-President of her local civic association.
