Nancy Steen is an average lawyer. She got the job done, however, I would not recommend her services to a friend.
The absolute hands down worse lawyer in attorney I could have ever chosen. Has not done one of the many things she claimed, promised, and or stated. She cannot be trusted, cannot be relied on, cannot be expected to communicate by ANY MEANS. It has been weeks and months since myself my family nor my hopefully soon to be ex-wife's attorney has been able to reach her or have her respond. Please For the Love of All That is holy and righteous in this world do not choose this woman for any reason and especially do not pay her up front like she requires because you will only throw your money away and be hooked with her until you can afford a second attorney after being released from her contract if you can even call it that. I have spoken to the alternative lawyers secretary more than I've been able to speak to her I have spoken to her secretary more than I've spoken to anyone to which im always told shes incourt. SHE IS A FRUAD!!!Pick someone else if you hope for any form of professionalism!
Nancy is one of the most capable of family law attorneys locally. She has a major defect, however: she cannot handle her case load. Nancy gets lost. She returns phone calls to her clients rarely; she can drag out child support and simple divorce cases for three years ...or more... before her paying client finally demands release from her nonperformance. She comes on strong,competent,as though she will really represent a client fairly/ethically, but then,she disappears:silent,unavailable.
I paid a retainer and they never filed an appearance as my attorney. It's been 2 months since they cashed my check. I had court today and they were a no show.
