I was raised in Calvert County. I graduated from DeMatha Catholic High School and went on to earn my Bachelor of Arts at Loyola College in Maryland, where I graduated cum laude and was a member of the Pi Sigma Alpha honor society. I earned my Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland School of Law in Baltimore, Maryland. While in law school, I was an Associate Editor on the University of Maryland Law Journal of Race, Religion, Gender, and Class. During law school, I worked for the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County as a Case Management Intern and for the Circuit Court for Howard County as a Judicial Intern. Upon graduation, I was selected to serve as Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Marjorie L. Clagett, County Administrative Judge for the Circuit Court for Calvert County, where I gained experience performing complex legal research in a number of areas of law. Upon completing my clerkship, I entered private practice and worked for small law firms. I have handled numerous civil matters ranging from domestic (divorce and custody) matters, landlord/tenant matters, real estate matters (litigation and transactional), and breach of contract matters. Currently, I work for a larger law firm where I represent clients in insurance defense matters and personal injury matters. In my free time, I enjoy cycling, hiking, politics, sailing, reading, and cooking.
