About Michael A. Newland

Michael was born and raised in Hamilton, Ohio. He graduated from Edgewood High in 1981. He was a member of the National Honor Society, German Club and Edgewood Choir and Choraliers. He graduated from Georgetown College with a BA in American Studies in 1985. While there, he was active in the Phi Alpha Theta History Honorary Fraternity, the Georgetown College Oratorio Chorus and the Georgetown College Chorale. Michael obtained his Juris Doctor degree in 1988 from Capital University Law School.

Michael opened his private practice in November, 1989, in Hamilton, Ohio. Areas of practice include criminal defense (adult and juvenile), traffic citations, wills, deeds, dissolutions. His practice is focused within Butler County courts but, over the years, he has developed contacts and relationships with other area attorneys to whom he feels comfortable referring cases in other counties.

The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.
