You cannot ask for a better family lawyer, especially if you are a father going through a messy divorce and custody case involving CPS. My case proved to be very messy due to them being in the picture multiple times and them catering to my ex who was an unfit mother. Not only did William get me my winning results, but he also made legal history with my case. He is a very experienced and knowledgeable lawyer. He goes into the courtroom prepared and knows all the important facts. Nobody stands a chance against him in cross examination. He is a pitbull ready for battle and I felt very proud to be represented by him. William started out as my lawyer but has now become like family to us. My wife and I still keep in touch with him, and even my daughter has gotten to know what he did for her all those long years. Thanks to William, she now gets to live in a healthy family environment where she is safe, happy and loved. Do not hesitate to hire William, he is amazing and gets the job done.

Mr. Leahey did an excellent job protecting me and my children from my abusive ex-husband. He knows his stuff inside out and is completely up-to-date on current cases and decisions. He may not always give you the answers you want to hear but he will tell you what you can or cannot expect in a court of law and he will not make you false promises. If you are looking for someone who is respected by judges and his peers alike and who will get the job done, I would highly recommend Mr. Leahey.

Very down to earth and honest. He didn't use legal jargon so that an ordinary person couldn't understand.

He took my case and did help me Unfortunately I believe he became overwhelmed with his work, and kept reminding me, "I'm helping you, " Obviously! He won with regards to child support, however NOTHING was ever done with my x harassing me. I had to move 4 times across NS. 13 years and now im free, not because of the sysyem ! Because of me !

William leahey Is not a good lawyer. Expecially if you are a dad facing family court. He does not respect fathers right in court. He done everything to prevent me from seeing my daughter. Right down to making lies to making me look bad as a dad. If your a person of color or a father do not trust this man. Zero respect for fathers rights in nova scotia. Do not make the mistake of hiring this idiot. He has separated many dads from their kids. He also does nit respect people of color and is really good at making those ethnic minorities look bad. He k ows how steriotyping and discrimination works. And he will use it to his advantage.
