All the other mostly negative reviews on here for this guy don't add up, because he was a total BADASS for me! He handled a traffic violation for me to a T! I would definitely hire him again!

All court dates were given to me by other party in legal suit.
No preparation for court, nothing brought into court such as pictures, notes, etc.
He played solitaire on his computer during court trial. Did not contact me with final outcome of case.
Lawyer neglected my matter. After months of no reply, was forced to release and seek new counsel. Will take your retainer and communicate on the front end and that will be the last you hear of him. Don't be fooled by his role as a judge in hancock county, means nothing. Not available for calls, does not respond to emails, consider your case lost. I was forced to file a complaint with the MS Bar Association.
He will take your money and not do the work. Because of his carelessness and lack of any effort towards my case I have to fire him and hire a new attorney.
Please spare yourself further frustration because this man does not care about your case, you, your property, or your loved ones. He will not respond to any questions. His communication is terrible at best. He will take your money but after that, you are pretty much on your own. This man has no urgency to any incident that may arise nor will he provide you with any kind of counsel. He is an awful attorney, how he is still practicing remains a mystery.
Highly unethical and likely committed malpractice. He agreed to terms in court then never filed the paperwork causing me to miss visitation with my children. That is illegal but he knew there was nothing I could do about it, so he didn't care. He blamed it all on the other attorney although he had proof of his attempts to contact Maggio. He doesn't return phone calls or emails. He also talked down to me and the female attorney but suddenly negotiated when the male attorney arrived. #retire
I have hired Stephen Maggio nearly a year ago, yet he has failed to do anything positive for my child custody case during that time. Stephen Maggio does not return phone calls or emails. He does not keep me informed of the status of my case. Stephen Maggio does not consult with me before making decisions. He also showed up to court unprepared for a three day trial and does not follow through on our agreements.{para}Stephen Maggio is incompetent as a family lawyer, as he lacks resources and ability.
After payment, does not respond to e-mails and calls. Secretary always states she is sending an update after talking to him and does not. Been trying to get a response over two months. He is too busy for clients.
