He did not stand behind anything he said. He was unresponsive and extremely slow in filing motions.
I saw all the other reviews about how unresponsive and invisible this lawyer has been with the majority of people who have bothered to try to hire him for legal help. I've never tried to hire this attorney, but I recognized his name and couldn't figure out why...until I received my weekly two demand letters from PRA law firm. I have received two different letters per week off and on for the last 3 years, both asking for different settlement amounts to resolve a singular incident that never even happened in the first place. I called the number listed on the letter after the first year of continued extortion attempts and told the operator to either cease the harassment or I would seek legal counsel to prove their fraudulent intentions and they'd be the ones making the payments. The letters stopped for several months and then started back up again, still two a week, just not every week like before. This lawyer is a mouthpiece for this unethical and illegal scam to defraud Americans.
Never responded to my summary of case, either to my telephone number or my email address. Lazy or incompetent.
I will start by saying I never hired Mr. Compton, not that I did not want to, but multiple emails and voicemails left for his office went unreturned when I was searching for an attorney to take my case. Needless to say, the failure to communicate, even if it was to say that he wasn’t interested in my case, told me to move along and find another attorney.
Extremely disappointed with Jeff. We’d hired him about 8 years ago to draft a will and trust and living wills. That process was extremely simple. Fast forward to now, I called his office probably 10 times over the course of a month leaving a message asking for a return call. I sent a request through his website and there was zero effort to return any contact attempts. Extremely disappointed.
Failed to demonstrate competence in all aspects of legal representation, except in the area of billing. And even that was incompetently performed.
Very Poor Attorney with Not a Good Christian Background as he claims. Relies solely on his hired paralegals . Has had a case for me for over 2 years and he wont even return my calls.
