Andrea C. Sisca joined Mandelbaum Barrett PC in 2014. Prior to joining Mandelbaum Barrett PC, Andy practiced law at Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker with a focus on professional and general liability matters, and personal injury defense.
At Mandelbaum Barrett PC, Andy focuses her practice on civil and commercial litigation, including real estate, contract, construction and other similar types of disputes. She handles all aspects of litigation from pleadings, discovery (including large e-Discovery productions) and motions through trial and appeals, when necessary. She also has experience handling other types of matters including securities fraud, business disputes, zoning appeals and Will contests.
Andy brings to the Litigation team her experience in defense work, her skill at analysis and strategizing, and her meticulous attention to factual details crucial to successful management and favorable resolution of cases. In a recent representative matter, Andy prepared a summary judgment motion and oppositions to defendants’ motions resulting in judgment in her client’s favor on his New York labor law claims. In another matter, Andy second chaired at trial and wrote the post-trial briefs in a Connecticut adverse possession case, successfully defeating defendant’s counterclaim for adverse possession and securing reimbursement for her client’s attorneys’ fees as well. Andy has second chaired several multi-day prejudgment remedy hearings and has handled injunction hearings.
