Hired Attorney Clark Grounsell

After hiring mr. G to represent me, I began to notice patterns that were hard to ignore. His conduct didn’t align with what I expected from someone committed to criminal defense. Instead, his behavior mirrored that of someone still tethered to the tactics and perspectives of the prosecution. Rather than challenging the charges head-on or filing substantive motions, his approach was consistently passive. He steered conversations toward plea bargains from the outset, offering little indication that he had any intention of building a strong defense. Over time, it felt less like legal advocacy and more like damage control—on behalf of the state. It gave the impression that he might be serving a dual purpose: outwardly defending clients, but in practice, ushering them toward conviction under the guise of strategic negotiation. Whatever his true motivation, the end result was the same—minimal resistance, diminished defense, and clients cornered into guilty pleas with serious consequences.
