About Mr. Don Pilzer

Don Pilzer has practiced in the field of Social Security Disability (SSDI/SSI) since 1982, and is exclusively a Social Security disability lawyer.

Don has argued at all levels of the Social Security appeal process. He has represented numerous clients in U.S. District Court. He’s also a sustaining member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (NOSSCR) and an active member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.

Beyond his legal work, Don has received the Chairman’s Award from The Better Business Bureau of the Foothills for 15 years of outstanding community service. He has served on the board of United Ministries to provide food and shelter for the homeless, and for the Gateway House to provide housing and pre-vocational services to mentally ill adults. In both his professional and his personal life, Don is someone you want on your side.

Don studied law at the Duke University School of Law in Durham, North Carolina.

Attorney Pilzer is one of the most professional, compassionate and thorough attorneys I have ever seen or met. From consultation to knee deep in gathering evidence for a very difficult case to presenting everything to a judge and then winning, he and his staff went above and beyond to see that my son had every chance in the world to get the benefits he so desperately needed. HE HAS A LOCAL ADVERTISEMENT ON T.V. STATING THAT ALL HE HAS SPECIALIZED IN FOR THE PAST 25 YEARS, IS SOCIAL SECURITY DISABILITY, AND THAT'S NOT TRUE, MY DECEASED EX-HUSBAND AND I USED HIM TO FILE BANKRUPTCY 20 YEARS AGO! SO, HE PROVES THE SAYING, "YOU CAN TELL A LAWYER IS LYING, IF HIS LIPS ARE MOVING!" WOULDN'T RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE!

Hired Attorney Mr. Don Pilzer

When we met before going in front of the judge he told me he was going to explain to me exactly what the judge was going to ask and what I was to say. It turned out that the judge asked me many questions he had not reviewed or even discussed with me and I didn't even understand some of them, let alone know how to answer and I wound up sobbing in hysterics.
