At Clifford & Harris, PLLC, we believe there is no substitute for an aggressive, high-caliber criminal defense when your future and your liberty are in jeopardy. Clifford & Harris, PLLC was founded in 1973 by R.Walton McNairy and Locke T. Clifford, classmates at the UNC School of Law, Class of 1967. Locke Clifford retired in 2021 following 50+ years of distinguished practice, having been the second ever recepient of the Wade Smith Award awarded by the North Carolina bar for the best criminal defense attorneys in the state/hall of fame.

Today attorneys Andrew Clifford and Daniel Harris carry on that legacy of high-caliber criminal defense work that Locke was known for. In 2022, attorney Andrew Clifford won multiple state court jury trials and numerous DWI not guilty verdict or dismissals in district court. In 2022 Attorney Harris joined a very small group of practicing attorneys to have received a Not Guilty verdict in a federal criminal jury trial in the Middle District of North Carolina.

Attorneys Clifford and Harris represent individuals and corporate clients in matters ranging from sex offenses, financial crimes, computer crimes, arson, federal grand jury and regulatory agency investigations, drug conspiracies, federal tax and bankruptcy fraud, record expunctions and probation and parole violations, and so much more.

We also assist students in conduct hearings at local universities around the Triad!

Hired Attorney Daniel Harris

Daniel Harris was persistent in handling my case with the DA. He stayed in touch with me and was quick to relay information to me. We hit a few snags, but Daniel would immediately call and arrange information meetings. He never delayed an appearance. He handled everything quickly and efficiently, without any legal red tape or time wasting tactics. I don't plan to ever need the services of a criminal defense attorney again, But if I do, it will be Daniel Harris.
