Adam Roberts joined Chapman & Roberts, P.A. in October 2018. A native of Newberry, South Carolina, he earned a B.A. in International Studies from Newberry College in 2014 and a J.D. from Elon University School of Law in 2017. During law school, Adam gained valuable courtroom experience through internships with the Guilford County Public Defenders’ Office and the Federal Public Defenders’ Office for the Eastern District of North Carolina. He also authored a published article on the impact of criminal cases on immigration status.
At Elon, Adam excelled in trial advocacy, competing on the school’s trial team and receiving the International Academy of Trial Lawyers Student Advocate Award. He was inducted into the Order of the Barristers and served as a staff member of the Elon Law Review, which published his Note on Constitutional arguments for sanctuary cities.
Since graduating, Adam has focused on helping clients with immigration matters. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Ashley, and their dog.
