Stobierski & Connor is a law firm with an office in Greenfield, MA. At this office location, there are 3 lawyers practicing personal injury, automotive accidents, work injuries and 21 other areas of law.
John Conner handled our personal injury case. He was very professional and responsive. His knowledge and experience were invaluable in navigating the details of our case. He listened to our concerns and questions with patience and empathy. We are very grateful for his work on our behalf. We recommend him wholeheartedly.
Connor took our case gladly, then failed to respond to our attempts to communicate for over a year. When we asked if he had dropped our case, it seemed like he had completely forgotten, and he said he was on the case. 6 months went by with no action. Connor was evasive on simple questions, like, "What have you filed so far?" He would only say that the case is moving forward. He evaded us completely by habit, then woud suddenly demand a phone conference on short notice, give us no time on the clock, and try to bully us into things that undermine getting a high settlement figure. He did almost no work. We did all the work. Connor wanted to do what was easiest for him at all times. He was extremely rude to the point of abusive. He told us a story about how he attacked his Puerto Rican neighbor wrongfully and was proud of what he did. We were shocked and cannot fathom why he even told us that story. Connor was the most unprofessional, unethical and unhelpful lawyer we ever met.
Connor took our case gladly. We thought things would go well. The second time we saw him, he seemed not to remember anything. Then he did nothing for over a year. We could not get answers to questions for months on end. Connor was later continually out of line with us. Connor's behavior was beyond unprofessional and borderline abusive. We did all the work on our case. Connor did not return calls for weeks, sometimes, months on end. He gave us only a few minutes to discuss critical parts of our case. The administrative person treated me like she never heard of me for over a year and a half. If at any time I disagreed with Connor, he would threaten to quit the case, yell at me, and try to browbeat me into consenting. He only wants insurance cases, it seems.
To start: John NEVER returns phone calls. We would call & call for a couple weeks with no call back, then finally go to the office, and the only way you could get him to talk to you is if he happened to be passing the reception area while you were there. He doesn’t work in a timely manner. He does not advocate for his client. Their own site says “Creative lawyering, aggressive advocacy and enduring perseverance” but we have not seen any of this (the opposite in fact).
