Hired Attorney

Ms Eash was appointed by the court to be conservator for my uncle's partner who had dementia, as she had no family. My uncle was in a nursing home by this point. My sister and I became involved in helping my uncle and his partner when they became infirm. Ms Eash lied on many occasions, didn't return phone calls, made questionable financial decisions, didn't follow through on multiple issues and was an impediment and not a help throughout the rest of my uncle's partner's life. She refused to resign her post as conservator, thus was impossible to remove without hiring a lawyer at our own expense. It is a sad state of affairs when a conservator can be easily appointed but not removed for doing a poor job and causing harm to others.

The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*
