Originally from the Midwest, Claire Knowlton is an attorney practicing in the DC-Maryland area. She graduated from Knox College in 2011 with a B.A. in Educational Studies, Spanish, and American Politics. After teaching elementary school Dual Language (Spanish) in the Chicago suburbs and Northern Virginia, Claire fulfilled a long-standing dream of attending law school. While in law school, Claire served as a law clerk in the Federal Public Defender's Office (District of Maryland), a judicial intern in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland (Greenbelt), and a student attorney in The George Washington University Law School's robust Immigration Clinic where she focused on asylum cases. Claire's current practice includes divorce, child custody, child custody modification, criminal defense, and general litigation.
Outside of her law practice, Claire enjoys marathon running, traveling through South America, and spending time in Shenandoah County, Virginia.
