Hired Law Firm

I met with Charles today to discuss elder planning. I found him to be quite thorough, knowledgeable, considerate, and he communicates very well. I appreciated his review of my plans and some suggestions he made. He offered to correct some documents and prepare them for my signature.

Hired Attorney Charles Connell

My family and I consulted with Mr. Connell after a referral from my daughter. After the initial consultation, he followed up with a letter summarizing the conversation. We decided as a family to have Mr. Connell represent us to prepare last will & testament and other documents for my ex-husband, and he refused saying we should have done this a long time ago. Yes, I agree, but we were in a situation where he most likely had a stroke or a series of mini-strokes which suddenly caused his dementia. This situation must happen all the time. That's why we consulted with an attorney to find out next steps. He didn't even recommend another attorney who may be able to help us. He flat out refused to help. I work at a large law firm in downtown Denver and was appalled at his behavior as a professional. I feel like there was some prejudice towards my family, either because of our last name, or limited income. I do not recommend this attorney.

Mr. Connell was my parents lawyer for over 25 years. My father died 10 years ago and now upon the death of my mother, his handling of her wishes were no longer important to him.

All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*

• AV Preeminent®: The highest peer rating standard. This rating signifies that a large number of the lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards.
