Sorenson, Ransom & Ferguson, LLP is a law firm established in 2010 with an office in Grants Pass, OR. At this office location, there are 4 lawyers practicing civil litigation, trial practice, federal practice and 18 other areas of law.
I own an adult care home and have a 90 y/o Resident who uses Bill as her attorney. She wanted to meet with her attorney and was having mobility issues so Bill came out to our home on a couple of occasions to meet with her in the privacy of her own room. He was professional and friendly; very attentive to her needs of being hard of hearing and attentive to privacy of their conversation. She had a problem and he was able to come up with a solution that made her happy. I was very impressed with him and would highly recommend him to anyone.
Willard was very gracious and was part of the plan I had through my work that provided a discount for services. Even though we received a discount, the quality of service was not diminished. We always received timely responses to questions and concerns and we went through the bankruptcy process. Willard is very knowledgeable and up front about how the process works. He made it as simple of a process for us to conduct. I would happily recommend him to others for his services.
Rebecca Wilson was my mother's attorney for her divorce. At the time, my mother believed if she divorced her abusive and controlling husband of over 35 years, she would walk away with nothing. Not only did Ms. Wilson give me and my siblings and opportunity to testify about the abuses we had witnessed and experienced by our father/stepfather (a victory in itself!) she won the case! My mother rightfully received half of every asset my stepfather had, which he had been using to control and manipulate my mother with for all those years! Rebecca Wilson did not just win a divorce case for my mother, she helped bring closure to a nearly 40 year cycle of abuse for our family! An emotional and extremely satisfying win!
I brought a senior friend in who has mild dementia. As his caregiver I know any help I offer him will be questioned. Caregivers are often involved in financial abuse cases, I understand that. However, I had pertinet information about his case and although I paid $150 dollars for him to to have consultation, Deborah had her mind made up about what was happening with minimal information. She refused to even speak to me, or acknowledge me as part of my friends caregiving team. We paid our last $150 dollars for Deborah Sorensen to tell this gentleman to go talk to his adversaries. If he hadn't not already attempted this several times we would not need an attorneys help! Truth is she didn't have to lift a pen to make a quick $150 and we got zip, none of our questions were answered and I had a list. Our appointment was a joke.
Keep looking. Don’t hire this firm or Ferguson. By far the worst attorney I’ve dealt with in all my life (and I’ve had a few). She’s laughed at by the local law community, judges and attorneys. She lies like a rug and has no shame by lying in court too. Save your money. Keep looking for an attorney.
This lady is a horrible person through and through. If she is your attorney - get your checkbook ready. She basically feeds hate into her client to stoke the fire that takes them down a path destined for the courtroom. She did it to my ex for over a year and she has done it to other people I know. I represented myself and won THREE TIMES in court against her and my ex ended up losing most of her custodial authorities. On one occasion, the judge had to explain a procedural thing to her that I already knew as a regular joe. Her legal skills are pathetic. She forgot to file a response to my motion which made it so my ex could not recoup legal fees from me if I were to lose in court - luckily I didn't because I would have been on the hook for the bill that she intentionally ran sky high. Ms. Ferguson is currently under investigation by the Oregon State Bar for violating MULTIPLE professional rules of conduct - including misconduct for lying in court. RUN Forrest, RUN!!!
Stay far, far, FAR away from these pathetic excuses of attorney's!!!!! They do not look out for your best interest. They are strictly looking out for themselves. Ferguson, in particular, lies to her clients and to the judges in order to serve her own interests. These people in this office along with "Daddy, the accountant" are a family owned NIGHTMARE for their clients. They're NOT PROFESSIONAL and they're NOT HONEST!!!!! Do yourself a favor and find a real attorney, not these A-HOLES!!!!!
We were referred to Kendall Ferguson through Legal Shield we were charged $100 consolation fee just to be told that she could not take our case on such short notice and that if she did there would be a $3,000 retainer. She then told Legal Shield that we could not afford her $5,000 retainer so she did not take our case. I feel that our time and our money was wasted and that Mrs. Ferguson has no integrity.
Sorenson lied to me, refused to correct three major mistakes on legal documents and when I insisted on changing the errors she "fired" me one day before court. As such, I'll never use anyone in this firm again.
