Bar Fellowship
in the American College of Trial Lawyers has first chaired jury trials, labor and civil rights arbitrations, NLRB hearings and state civil rights administrative cases on behalf of employers in such business sectors as automotive (OEM; Tier .5-4 suppliers and retail), pharmaceutical manufacturing, international, national and regional consumer retailers, information technology, telecommunications, gaming, and financial services. Mr. Jenkins also advises and represents employers with respect to strategic labor relations matters, collective bargaining and NLRB litigation.
In addition, Mr. Jenkins has conducted investigations of workplace fatalities, improper conduct on the part of procurement agents, and alleged workplace harassment. He has also handled whistleblower investigations and litigation, investigated alleged financial reporting improprieties, provided assessments and advice with respect to establishing and maintaining effective employee hotlines and other internal reporting structures, and evaluated conflict of interest guidelines implemented by various multinational companies. Mr. Jenkins, who formerly served as a member of the ABA's Task Force on Section 307 of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), has also handled internal investigations and litigation arising under SOX.
Mr. Jenkins is a seasoned and business savvy lawyer who has been counted upon by companies to assist in achieving important business goals and, if necessary, litigate or their behalf in furtherance of those goals. An accountant before becoming a lawyer, Mr. Jenkins began his professional career as a financial and tax analyst at General Motors Corporation and then, after graduating from law school, he advanced to become GM's chief NLRB litigation counsel before embarking on a career in private practice.
Mr. Jenkins, who maintains a Martindale Hubbell rating of AV - Preeminent, has received numerous honors and awards from his peers in the legal and business communities. He has been named as one of The Best Lawyers in America (2010-2014), and has been recognized by Chambers USA (2008-2014) and Michigan Super Lawyers (2007-2013). Most recently, he was selected by Michigan Lawyers Weekly as one of Michigan's Leaders in the Law for 2012.
Mr. Jenkins serves on the board of trustees at the Michigan State University College of Law and serves on the faculty of the State Bar of Michigan Institute of Continuing Legal Education. He also enjoyed a decade long tenure and served as chairman of the City of Detroit Civil Service Commission, and he currently serves on the board of Henry Ford Health System-West Bloomfield.

Mr. Jenkins received his J.D.,cum laude, from Michigan State University College of Law in 1981. He graduated with a B.A. in Accounting from Michigan State University in 1976. Mr. Jenkins also earned a Certificate, Executive Education Program in Mergers and Acquisitions, from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business in 2001.
