Connie could be the worst attorney in the entire state of Michigan. During my case she would not listen to the facts and would become aggressive and more than rude when I would even attempt explain the situation. Connie would repeat "my job is easy, I just add everything up and divide by 2" This should not have been the case in a 8 year marriage - where the other party did not work, there were no children and all assets were supplied by me. She actually took the oppositions side. I also got a extremely strong feel that Connie dislikes men. As I was too far into the process to change attorneys, I did the best I could with my lackadaisical "representation" (and I use that term loosely) She was so ill prepared for my mediation that she could not speak to my assets and thus I got taken advantage of. Connie also seemed very shaky in front of the Judge (the one time we saw her) and insisted that we not go to trial. Connie has an ego a mile wide and little to back it up with.
Rhodes Mckee came highly recommended, so when I started going through a divorce I researched their lawyers and chose Connie who had a mile long list of credentials and appeared to be very qualified to handle the specific issues in my divorce. Although her hourly rate was astronomical I assumed I'd get what I paid for. Big mistake. Connie was impossible to get a hold of, dismissive, rude and outright negligent. She failed to file a motion to freeze assets, losing me $50k in savings.
